At A Shoulder To Lean On, our journey began with a simple act of kindness and a vision to make a difference in the lives of children in need. It all started when my wife encouraged me to donate teddy bears accumulated from the Youth Fair to children with Autism. Partnering with Dana Smith, a dedicated advocate for autism research and community support, we initiated a teddy bear drive with the slogan “KIDS NEED HUGS TOO.” This heartfelt initiative evolved into the establishment of our nonprofit organization, driven by a deep-rooted passion to help all individuals. With over 20 years of experience in community service and a commitment to serving those facing challenges, we stand out for our unwavering dedication to creating a positive impact and providing essential support to children and families in our community.
